At croit, our commitment to innovation and excellence is matched only by our commitment to each other. As a fully remote company, our team is spread across the globe, working from different countries, cultures, and time zones. While this brings a wealth of diversity and flexibility to our operations, it also presents unique challenges in fostering a strong, cohesive team spirit. To address this, we embarked on our third workation in the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal—a journey that proved to be both professionally enriching and personally rewarding.

The Essence of Our Workation

A workation is more than just a break from the usual routine; it’s a blend of work and vacation, designed to boost productivity while providing a refreshing change of environment. For us at croit, this was a chance to bridge the physical distances that separate us and to cultivate a deeper sense of camaraderie.

Why Lisbon?

Lisbon was an easy choice for our workation. Known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture, the city provided the perfect backdrop for our gathering. Its welcoming atmosphere and excellent amenities made it an ideal place for both work and leisure.

Highlights of the Experience

One of the most significant aspects of our workation was the opportunity for face-to-face interactions. For many of us, this was the first time meeting in person. The excitement of putting faces to names and voices fostered a deeper connection and understanding among team members.

We organized several collaborative sessions where team members could brainstorm, share ideas, and work on projects together. These sessions were incredibly productive, as the energy and creativity in the room were palpable. The synergy created during these discussions was truly inspiring.

Outside of work, we explored the beautiful city of Lisbon together. From visiting historical landmarks like Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery to enjoying the local cuisine and lively nightlife, every moment was a chance to bond and create lasting memories.

While the workation was a tremendous success, it was also important to acknowledge those who couldn't join us due to personal reasons. Their absence was felt, and we look forward to future opportunities where everyone can be present.
